Using Tree-Structure Navigation
The application’s tree-structure navigation lets you quickly navigate through the software’s functionality. The tree-structure is a hierarchal file structure that lets you drill-down among ActiveWeb’s core features. A user can expand and retract through different levels of the system based on these file folders. Based on their selection, the right side of the screen updates the user to a specific point in ActiveWeb.
Expanding and retracting of Warranty’s tree-structure navigation lets users navigate through multiple levels of application. A user can display or hide levels based on the icons next to tree-structure icons.
Expand
levels of the application’s tree-structure by clicking the “expand
level” button () next to the corresponding icon and description.
The system lets the user know that files can be expanded by the display
of the “expand level” button next to the file folder icon.
By clicking on the “expand level” button, a user drills down to multiple levels of the catalog. Each level lists the description of the level and corresponding icon.
Retract
levels of ActiveWeb’s tree-structure by clicking the “retract level”
button () next to Warranty’ file icon and description.
The system lets the user note that files can be retracted by the display
of the “retract button” next to a file folder icon.
By clicking on the “retract level” button, it instantly retracts the file structure.
Breadcrumb controls, as shown in the following figure, are a series of links at the top of the page. These links show the series of clicks beginning from the home page to the user’s current location.
The Status Menu lists the sequential steps that were taken to get to the user to a point certain. Each step is hyperlinked. At any point, a user can jump back to any previous step by clicking on the hyperlinked name.
